The Federal High Court of Abuja has ordered the release of Omoyele Sowore.

Moreover, the Judge, Justice Taiwo Taiwo ordered his release On Tuesday, September 24.

However, Sowore must deposit his International passport within forty-eight hours after his release.

Importantly, the court ordered that his lawyer Femi Falana, be responsible for producing him in a court once the charges against him are known.

According to Taiwo Taiwo, the law provides for the freedom of all Nigerians regardless of economic or political status.

Besides, the forty-five days detention order of the court has expired and has not been renewed.

“ The liberty of all Nigerians high or low, poor or rich is guaranteed by the constitution.

“ It’s for this end that I’m of the view that the defendant is released forthwith. Said Taiwo Taiwo.

Recall that Sowore was arrested on August 3rd for planning a nationwide protest under the theme #Revolution Now.

Subsequently, the government filed charges of treason and money laundering against him.
