Police Arrest Men For Flogging Presidents Statue on Kampala Busy Road

The Police force in Uganda has on Monday arrested two men who flogged a statue of President Yoweri Museveni on a busy road in the capital, Kampala.

The two men who were identified as Luta Ferdinand Male and Nsereko Ashraf described themselves to the police as activists of a social movement. They accused the president of malpractice in the 14 January elections.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesman Patrick Onyango has confirmed the arrests. Adding that they will face charges of being a public nuisance.
