The District Head of Mayo-Farang in the Mayo-Belwa local government area of Adamawa State, Mustapha Ahmadu, who was abducted on Monday, has been freed.
Sources disclosed that the village head had returned to his household in good health. However, the amount paid as ransom for the release wasn’t disclosed.
The Adamawa State Police Command which confirmed the district head’s release, only also confirmed that the man was Hale and hearty.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Suleiman Nguroje, stressed that investigation to arrest the culprits was on top gear.
Glory be to God, he has been rescued and the investigation is going on to find the kidnappers of the traditional rulers,” Nguroje said.
