Late last night, President Muhammad Buhari had a closed-door meeting with the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.
This was made known by the Personal Assistant to the President on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, on his Twitter handle at about 11:36 pm on Sunday.
“President @MBuhari receives Ghanian President H.E. @NAkufoAddo tonight in his official residence at the State House, Abuja,” the tweet read.
Although Mr. Ahmad did not elaborate on the purpose of the meeting, he however posted a picture of both presidents on a walk.
However, there were indications from Presidency sources that the meeting might be in relation to the recent diplomatic row between Nigeria and Ghana.
