Ex Foreign Minister Made New Premier In Mali

Mali’s state television has announced that the interim President Bah Ndaw has named a new civilian prime minister.

Former diplomat Moctar Ouane, 64, who  served as Mali’s foreign minister between 2004 and 2011 was appointed to the position. 

Ndaw was sworn In on Friday before Mali’s Supreme Court with junta chief Colonel Assimi Goita as his deputy, placing Goita in charge of defence and security issues.
