Drunk Soldier Kills 13 In DR Congo

On Thursday night, in Uvira town, in the east of the country, a drunk soldier was said to have shot dead 13 people, including women and children.

The army in the Democratic Republic Congo have disclosed that there’s an ongoing search for the soldier.

Angry mobs were said to have paraded the streets on Friday morning in the lakeside town to demand the personnel of the army battalion in the area be changed.

It was also gathered that they demanded that the government pay compensation to affected families and for the health care of wounded survivors.
