Libya’s national oil company has announced its resumption to important exports after a halt of nearly six months, which was caused by conflict and political upheaval.

The first tanker is said to have begun loading in the eastern port of Es-Sider.

The company’s production facilities in the region was said to have been blockaded by forces loyal to the renegade Gen Khalifa Haftar.

The revenue estimated to have been lost during the halt in output is said to be more than $6bn.
