Mozambican health authorities have revealed that there are 48 coronavirus cases in the diaspora.
Rosa Marlene, the national director of public health, disclosed that the new cases were reported last week.
Although, two Mozambicans living in South Africa were said to have recovered from the virus. It was also revealed that 18 people have recovered in the diaspora in total. Six people have died from the virus, and there are 24 active cases.
Marlene noted that the latest information was from the foreign affairs ministry. She further urged those in the diaspora to follow the measures put in place by local governments in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
