Resident Doctors In Ondo Go On Strike For Non-Payment Of Salaries.

Resident Doctors of Ondo State Teaching Hospital on Protest

An indefinite strike began on Friday January 10th, 2020 as resident doctors protest against non payment of salaries for six months.

Patients have suffered because doctors have not been attending to them. Only consultants and nurses are available to cater to both patients on admission and out-patients alike at Ondo State Teaching Hospital

The association of resident doctors of the Teaching Hospital Akure, in a protest expressed how displeased they are about the actions by the state government to owe them salaries for 6 months.

Wahab Adegbenro, Commissioner for Health in the state is aware of the protest, although he has not addressed the issues raised by the doctors.
