On Saturday 11th January, 2020 Adams Gorlitsky became the first man to finish a marathon race in an exoskeleton suit.

His record of 33 hours, 50 minutes and 23 seconds beats the current world record of 36 hours and 46 minutes by British man Simon Kindleysides in 2018.

Gorlitsky got paralyzed in 2005 when he fell asleep while driving home from school and sustained a spinal cord injury from his belly button down. His biggest message is that “your adversity doesn’t have to define who you are.”

Although Gorlitsky has not officially been announced as the new record holder. He has said that he intends to send his race results to the company.
