Al-Shabab militants kill two government officials in Southern Somalia

On Wednesday, November 13, Al-Shabab militants killed two government officials.

However, the two officials died during an ambush in the outskirt of Bal’ad town in the southern middle Shebelle region.

Moreover, the militants launched an attack in Adayga village, hence, the army and the militants exchanged fire.

The district Chief Abdulahi Hassan Haji and his deputy Elmi Qoje Hassan died in the attack.

Recall that on the 4th of November, Al-Shabab extremists killed two soldiers in an ambush in Bule Burde town in the central region of Hiraan.

Somalia’s army backed by the African Union Mission in Somalia chased al-Shabab extremists from the capital Mogadishu in August 2011.
