At least fifteen soldiers have been killed after an attack in northern Mali.
In brief, unidentified armed men attacked the military forces on Friday, November 1 in the afternoon with shellfire.
Moreover, the Malian Military announced the incident via its twitter account on Friday.
Meanwhile, the violence started in the Menake area and spread to the capital of Bamako.
However, Islamist State already claimed responsibility for the attack through its Awaq news agency on Saturday.
Since US Special Forces killed its previous leader Abu Bakr-al Baghdadi last weekend, the group has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks.
The attacks occurred about a month after four soldiers died and twenty went missing during two attacks on Malian Soldiers.
