The Libyan Navy says they has rescued 94 illegal immigrants off the Tripoli’s eastern suburb of Tajoura.
However, the Libyan Navy found the immigrants packed in a small rubber boat.
The boat was overloaded and it had already taken in water, thus, leaving its occupants at risk of drowning.
However, the immigrants including fourteen women and four children.
“They were brought to shore and provided with the necessary humanitarian and medical care”.
Moreover, the Libyan Navy said it had reached out to all relevant authorities but none of them has responded.
Consequently, the migrants would be set free if no competent authorities respond to the call.
The Libyan Navy has rescued nearly 7,000 illegal immigrants so far this year.
