At least eleven people have lost their lives in a car crash outside Polokwane Limpopo, South Africa.
However, the incident occurred on Sunday, September 22 around 6:00 am.
The Spokesperson for transport (MEC) Dickson Masemola, Seabi Joel confirmed the incident.
Meanwhile, the accident involved two vehicles, a bakkie and an SUV, thus, the vehicles had a head-on collision.
It is unclear what caused the accident.
Moreover, Joel added that it is unclear whether there are pedestrians involved.
Furthermore, he emphasized that the number of people who died in the accident is fewer than the carrying capacity of the vehicle.
Authorities are still investigating the accident and making efforts to identify the bodies.
The MEC was on the scene this morning and has extended his condolence to the families of the deceased.
