At least fourteen people lost their lives and twenty-four left injured after an explosion hit a passenger bus in Mali.
The incident occurred in the central region of Mopti, in Mali on Tuesday, August 3rd.
The vehicle was traveling from the central town of Douentza to the northern town of Gao, carrying sixty passengers.
The security minister, Salif Traore confirmed the incident, adding that the death toll is fourteen.
The Army is still removing the bodies of the deceased from under the bus.
While the cause of the explosion is still unknown, it is believed to have been due to a landmine.
