424 Nigerians offered scholarships from Saudi Arabia

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has offered to give scholarships to 424 Nigerian University students each year.

Saudi’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Adnan Bostaji revealed this on Tuesday, September 2nd.

Bostaji confirmed this at a Free and Compulsory Basic Secondary Education program in Kano.

The ambassador announced “I have the pleasure to announce that the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia offers four hundred and twenty-four university scholarship slots to Nigerian students every year, from different states of the federation and in various academic fields, for undergraduate and graduate students.”

In addition, he said that the program would promote the Education sector in Kano State.

Moreover, it will have a positive impact on the people of Kano as well as Nigeria as a whole.

The ambassador believes education is the key in putting an end to the negative behaviors of some youth.

Meanwhile, the theme for the event is the fundamentals of free and compulsory education.

Bostaji equally commended the efforts of the Kano State government on the initiative of remodeling the traditional Almanjiri school system of Education.
