Super Eagles Player and Coach, Samson Siasia has been banned from the World football governing body, FIFA for life.

The adjudicatory chamber of the independent Ethics Committee said in a statement issued on Friday, that Siasia was found guilty of having received bribes to manipulate matches.

FIFA found he had breached 2009 edition of FIFA code of Ethics and thereby banned him for life on all football-related activities, in both Nigeria and outside the country.

He was also fined CHF 50,000.

The body statement reads: ” The formal ethics proceedings against Mr Siasia were initiated on 11 February 2019 and stem from an extensive investigation into matches that Mr Wilson Raj Perumal attempted to manipulate for betting purposes”.

Siasia was a Nigerian coach between the years 2010 – 2011, and won the 1994 African Cup of Nation with Nigeria.

He is now the second Nigerian to be banned by FIFA for bribery.
