Car accident, one died along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Ogun State Command has confirmed that one person died in an accident involving two vehicles at Mowe on Thursday, August 15 along Lagos- Ibadan Expressway.

The Sector Commander Mr Clement Oladele in his statement said the accident happened in Ota, near Abeokuta at about 5:05 am.

He added that a Volkswagen car with registration number EGB 608 XA lost control due to speeding around Redemption Camp main gate at Mowe and its vehicle rammed into a bus with registration number LSD 933 XQ.

The accident involved three people, two male passengers and a female, one male died in the accident.

“ The corpse of the victims was deposited at Fakoya Hospital Mortuary in Sagamu, Ogun State while the other two victims sustained no injuries”. Said Oladele.

Oladele said the obstruction caused by the accident had been cleared and the road is free for the motorists to pass.

He further advised motorist to desist from excessive speeding that could endanger lives.
