141 Sudanese migrants deported from Libya

Libya has deported one-hundred and one Sudanese migrants, excluding children on Thursday, August 8 from the Benghazi’s Benina Airport as part of its voluntary return program.

Head of Benghazi Department for countering Illegal Migration, Ashraf Ahweidy said ” The trip starts from the Benina Airport and ends in the Khartoum Airport.”

The Sudanese Consul General Omar Saleh shows his appreciation for the combined efforts of both parties as well as the International Organisation for Migration.

Saleh emphasis that ” This will be the first time a thing like this is happening. The trip is the first trip from the city of Benghazi as part of voluntary returns program of illegal migrants who are living illegally on Libyan soil.”

He once again appreciated the efforts of Libyan authorities as well as Sadan’s general consulate in charge of Sudanese migrants and to the International Organisation for Migration.
