26-year-old Lagos girl, Adewura Latifat Bello who went missing on May, 15 in Lagos has been found dead in a canal.
On the day she was found missing, Adewura left the office around 6pm with a colleague who dropped her off at Medical road, opposite Ikeja bus terminal to get a bus.
The last information her family heard about her was that her phone was tracked to Badagri.
According to reports, Adewura, an old accounting graduate of the University of Lagos was heading home in Egbeda, she was not seen since then, until her corpse was found on Sunday May, 27, 11 days after declared missing.
The family raised an alarm on social media and a public search began for the deceased.
According to her Cousin, Twitter user-@officiallBmax, who broke the news, he said Wura’s body was found in a canal.
On the day Adewura went missing, it was reported that she boarded a bike in the downpour to hasting her journey home, on getting to a flooded road, the motorcyclist was reportedly warned by the onlookers to wait for a better visibility, but he ignored them and attempted to ride through the flood.
They ended up being swept away by the flood but the motorcyclist survived and was immediately apprehended and handed over to the police by the onlookers.
Adewura was unlucky as she was swept into a canal through a wide-open manhole.
