Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Captain Rabiu Hamisu Yadudu as the new Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN)
Yadudu is to take over from the formal Managing Director Engr. Saleh Dunoma, according to a statement made by the Deputy Director of Press and Public Affairs, Ministry of Transportation (Aviation) Mr. James Odaudu, Buhari approved the removal of Dunoma on May., 20.
Dunoma who was the Director of Business Management in FAAN, was appointed in 2014, during the tenure of Former President Goodluck Jonathan as an acting Managing Director.
In 2017, his appointment was confirmed by Buhari, with the confirmation in 2017, his tenure was supposed to end in 2022 but he was sacked barely two years into his tenure.
Dunoma who was the president of Airport Council International – Africa (ACI-I) in Nigeria may loose the position due to his removal.
Oduadu stated that Yadudu is an International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Airport Council International (ACI) accredited in International Airport Professional.
Yadudu also holds professional certification in Avionics, Airport Safety Management Systems, Airport Security Management and Air Transport System Management amongst others.
