The police in Lagos have arrested 7 suspected ritualists after the discovery of an underground kidnappers’ den at Obadeyi in Ijaye area of the state.

Two suspected ritualists were burnt to death on Tuesday morning, following the discovery of the den.
Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad RRS led by the Commander, ACP Tunji Disu, stormed the scene after it was discovered by residents of Obadeyi under Ojokoro LCDA along the Lagos/Abeokuta expressway.
Some road side sweepers with the Lagos State Waste Management Agency (LAWMA) who alerted residents in the early hours of yesterday said a woman and her child were dragged into the hole as she cried for help.

According to the police, when people moved in there to help they noticed that some persons who had some charms like gourd in their mouths tried to escape and that made the crowd to suspect something unusual.
The ritualist den has reportedly been in operation for over four years.
