Final year student of Redeemers University expelled over Facebook post (PHOTOS)

A final student at Redeemers University has been expelled by the school over his post on social media.

Debo Adedayo made this known in a series of post made on his Facebook page on Friday.

He was accused of “posting certain messages on some social media platforms which are offensive and portrayed the Redeemer’s University and some of its officials in a bad light.”

“The above is unbecoming of a product of the University where degrees are awarded based on character and learning. By the rules and regulations guiding students conduct in Redeemer’s University, the act constitutes serious misconduct which is punishable by expulsion,” the letter stated.

The Redeemed Christian Church of God owned university, however, recommended “Recovery of Destiny (ROD)” program for the expelled student if he is remorseful and repentant.

In the controversial post said to have been directed at the University, Redeemer’s University was neither mentioned nor any university at all. The post, however, mentioned a “daddy VC and directors of DSSD in some universities like that, who had zero impact except for hatred, bitterness. and negativity”.

Debo’s parents have threatened to institute legal action against the University for expelling their son wrongfully.
