"I can't serve under current circumstances" - Gambia's Foreign Affairs Minister resigns

Gambian Foreign Affairs Minister, Neneh Macdouall Gaye, on Monday resigned from the regime of President Yahya Jammeh and reportedly fled the country.

“I am of the conviction that under the prevailing circumstances, I cannot effectively serve as Foreign Minister. I thank you for the opportunity you given me to serve my country,” Ms. Gaye said in her resignation letter dated January 16th.
