#CoffinAssault: 2 white South Africans arraigned in court for forcing black man into coffin (PHOTOS, VIDEO)


Two white South Africans who were filmed allegedly forcing a black man into a coffin in a video that went viral on social media were arraigned in court on Wednesday.


Willem Oosthuizen and Theo Martins Jackson face charges of assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm. 

Their alleged victim‚ Victor Rethabile Mlotshwa‚ who was also in court said he was scared for his life. 

In the footage, the men can be heard forcing Mlotshwa into a coffin and threatening to douse him with petrol. 
When he resisted‚ his captors threatened to put a snake in the casket.
Speaking outside the court, he said the white men accused him of trespassing and started beating him up.
Magistrate Jongilizwe Dumehleli postponed the case to January 25‚ 2017 after the accused's legal representative said they fear for their lives after a huge outcry from the public.
